Andrew McMurtrie who married in 1795 to Janet McKail in Kirkmichael could have been any of the following three persons:

1769, Mar 16 Dalmellington Andrew McM s of John McM of Dalharco
1771, Aug 23/24 Kirkmichael Andrew son to Hugh McM in Ladyburn
1772,Jun 7 Kirkmichael Andre son to John McM in Pleasant Park
However, DNA from Hugh of Ladyburn shows that Andrew of CF 12 could not be his son.

We suspect that Andrew md 1795 is the son of John of Pleasant Park.

Also, it is possible that the Andrew who married Janet Caldwell in St Quivox in 1808 (CF 27) and had daughter Ann (1808) and John Taylor (1810) is the son of Hugh of Ladyburn.
