Clan Family 150

My original research on this family has been lost. However, I recall that some of the earliest records for this family are civil war pension records of African-American McMurtrys who joined the Union Army and that reveal that John Spillman and Thomas McMurtry were brothers.

Irvan McMurtry of Cincinatti and his cousins in Kentucky originally provided an outline of the family. I have reconstructed the family from online census records and family trees provided by descendants of this family.
